Model Context Protocol (MCP)

An open protocol for giving an AI assistant tools and context from an external system.

MCP standardises the handshake: a server advertises tools with schemas, a client discovers and calls them. The value is that one integration serves every client that speaks the protocol rather than one vendor's assistant.

The security model is the hard part, because the tools run with somebody's authority. Whose authority, and re-checked how often, is the question worth asking of any MCP server.

What GTM does about it

A token carries the authorising person's scopes, not the workspace's, and membership is re-read on every call so a demotion takes effect immediately. Nothing in the tool set sends a message to a prospect.

Describe the company, confirm the keywords, connect a channel. The agents take it from there, and Supervised mode is available when you want to review before sending.

Start with sales. $2,000 or $5,000 onboarding, then at least $250 monthly credit funding.
