Glossary
Trigger event
The specific thing that happened which makes today the right day to reach out.
A trigger is a buying signal you have decided to act on. The distinction matters operationally: signals are ambient, triggers have a rule attached. When this happens, do that.
A trigger without a rule is a dashboard. A rule without a trigger is a cadence.
What GTM does about it
The entry rule on a campaign is where the trigger becomes a decision you make per motion, rather than something hard-coded in three places and editable in none.
