Find · Intent
Cold lists are a guess. Intent is evidence.
A sourced contact sits at heat 1 until something happens. Then a keyword fires, or they react to a post, or they answer, and the number moves. The outbound queue only takes contacts at 4 and above, so what is in flight is people showing intent right now, never the whole market you sourced.

What is actually going on
Every claim below is followed by the mechanism under it, because a claim without a mechanism is a slide.
Evidence, or nothing
Five things move the score and every one of them is something that was observed: a reply with interest, a reply at all, a signal match in the last 72 hours, a reaction to a post matching a monitored keyword, or fourteen days of silence pulling it back down.
A reply outranks a reaction
That ordering sounds obvious and it is the whole point: until the reply poller wrote the score, a reply set an interest badge and left the flame reading whatever a LinkedIn reaction had put there weeks earlier.
Decay is anchored to the evidence, not to the row
The clock runs from the last observed intent, never from `updated_at`, which any unrelated edit resets. A contact who replied never decays at all; decay is for people who went quiet without ever answering.
Best evidence per contact, never the sum
Three reactions to one post is one person paying attention once. Adding them up would make volume of evidence look like strength of it.
Step by step
How intent signals runs
- 1
Watch
Monitored keywords run across LinkedIn and the open web on a one-minute tick.
- 2
Observe
Known contacts' own recent reactions are checked through a third-party watcher, so it spends vendor money instead of your LinkedIn call budget.
- 3
Score
A keyword-matched reaction writes a signal match at the same weight a sweep gives one, with the reaction's own timestamp.
- 4
Act
Cold email reaches the ICP-matching audience. LinkedIn waits for intent or a human email reply; opens alone do not qualify.
The numbers
Facts, not adjectives
Every figure here is a real value from the running product. A cadence from the scheduler, a price from the credit table, a limit from the ramp. A marketing page that invents a limit is a support ticket with a delay on it.
- Scale
- 1 to 5, on every contact
- Queue entry
- Heat 4 and above
- Reactions watch
- 5 profiles per tick, 50 per org per day
- Re-check window
- One profile no more than weekly
- Decay
- −1 after 14 silent days, floored at 1
Intent signals, honestly
What if my keywords never fire?
Cold email can run without intent. LinkedIn waits for qualifying intent or a human email reply. Sender readiness, budgets and sending windows still apply.
Can I turn the intent hold off?
Yes. It is a per-agent setting, and the threshold is configurable. The default is on at 4 because it matches the queue's own entry bar, so the hold and the entry rule cannot disagree.
