Junior AI Engineer
Work on real agent systems. Prompts, tools, evals. Under a senior AI engineer, in a product where model output has consequences.
About the role
Most junior AI roles are notebooks. This one is production: the models you touch decide who gets sourced, what gets drafted, and what a quality check flags. Everything runs behind gates and allowlists, so the blast radius of learning is contained by design.
You will
- Build and refine prompts for the five-agent roster, with evals to prove a change helped.
- Wire tools: schema, executor, allowlist. The same shape every time.
- Analyze transcripts and judgement logs to find where the model is actually failing.
- Pair with the senior AI engineer on the loop itself.
You have
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs beyond chat. Tool calls, structured output.
- Enough TypeScript or Python to be dangerous, and the intent to get good.
- Skepticism about your own prompts.
