Chief Legal Officer

Own the legal posture of a company that chose to be a data controller on purpose. Privacy, channel terms, commercial contracts, and the entity itself.

About the role

TryGTM sources contact data itself, which makes it a controller in its own right. A deliberate product decision with a real compliance surface: per-field provenance, retention anchored to collection date, a pre-send lawful-basis gate, and platform-wide suppression. The product was built for that reading; the company now needs the counsel who owns it.

Open questions with your name on them from day one: the controller/processor analysis, EU posture, LinkedIn terms-of-service exposure, the subprocessor schedule, and the corporate entity itself.

You will

  • Own privacy and data protection posture end to end, including the DPA and subprocessor schedule.
  • Advise on channel and platform risk. Email regulation, LinkedIn automation exposure, Meta policy.
  • Stand up commercial contracts: customer terms, vendor agreements, enterprise paper.
  • Form and keep the corporate house in order as the company scales.

You have

  • A law license and meaningful experience in technology, privacy, or commercial law.
  • Comfort being the whole legal department, with outside counsel where it counts.
  • The instinct to say what the risk actually is rather than what is defensible to say.
