Buyers do not need a 40-row dashboard. They need a one-page scorecard they can reconcile against their own inbox and calendar.
GTM optimizes for conversations booked per client workspace, not for raw reply rate theater.
Put the funnel in order
Read metrics top to bottom so the first broken step names the problem:
- Sends attempted
- Delivered and delivery rate
- Bounce or delivery-failure rate
- Reply rate (replies / delivered, denominator on the page)
- Positive reply rate after OOO, bounce, and unsubscribe filtering
- Conversations booked on a real calendar
- Show rate for meetings due that week
- Opportunities created when CRM handshake exists
- Risks and next actions in plain English
Define denominators in writing
State whether reply rate uses delivered messages, first contacts, or enrolled accounts. Put the formula on the scorecard. A booked meeting is a calendar event with a named person and company.
Keep vanity metrics off the buyer page
Open rate, raw connection counts, and total touches belong in internal diagnostics. Activity can sit next to results. It should never be the headline.
Agency operating rules
- Same template per client workspace
- Freeze metric definitions at kickoff
- Send on a fixed weekday
- Never paste another client's benchmarks into the narrative
If your motion is find, qualify, write, send, reply, book, the weekly scorecard proves the book step. Join the waitlist at https://trygtm.com/waitlist.
