GTM Funding and Credits Explained Honestly

Onboarding at $2k or $5k, $250 minimum prepaid credits, data at $0.01 and actions at $0.0025 — with no invented ROI promises.

Abstract geometric fuel gauges and credit tokens transforming into calendar booking sparks

Agencies shopping for outbound software usually get a pricing page that hides the real bill: seats, data packs, "AI credits," deliverability add-ons, and a setup fee that appears after the demo.

GTM's model is simpler on purpose. It is also easy to misread if you expect a free trial or an all-you-can-send SaaS seat. This is the honest version.

The three money objects (keep them separate)

  1. Access — waitlist / batch admission. Submitting the form does not activate an account.
  2. Onboarding — one-time fee to get you live the right way.
  3. Credits — prepaid monthly funding that becomes usage (data + actions).

If you mix those three in your head, the quote will feel confusing. Separated, it is straightforward.

Onboarding: $2,000 or $5,000 one-time

Onboarding is agreed with sales as either $2,000 or $5,000 (one-time).

What it is:

  • The fee to stand up the engagement properly — context, channels, ICP, launch discipline
  • A one-time cost, not a recurring platform subscription disguised as onboarding

What it is not:

  • Not a free trial substitute
  • Does not include usage credits
  • Not self-serve checkout on the marketing site today

Higher onboarding usually maps to heavier setup needs (more client complexity, more channels, more rigor before send). Sales will say which tier fits; this post will not invent a matrix of inclusions that is not published.

Credits: $250 minimum prepaid monthly funding

To use a workspace you need active paid billing and prepaid credits. The minimum prepaid monthly funding is $250, and that funding fully converts to credits. There is no separate platform fee on top of credit funding.

Unused purchased credits roll over. You are not playing a "use it or lose it by Friday" game on purchased balance — though you still need active billing to operate the workspace.

Think of credits as fuel for the motion: finding and qualifying burn data; drafting, sending, and related automation burn actions.

Credit types and unit prices

Two credit types, customer-chosen split:

TypeUnit priceTypical use
Data$0.01sourcing / qualification-style data work
Action$0.0025write / send / reply-path style actions

You choose the data/action split to match how you run. A list-heavy build month may weight data higher. A send-and-reply-heavy month may weight actions higher. The important part: you can see usage as fuel against booked conversations — not as an opaque "AI score."

What we optimize toward (goal, not guarantee)

GTM's product optimization goal is on the order of $100 of usage per qualified booked call.

Read that sentence carefully:

  • It is a goal for how we build and tune the system.
  • It is not a guarantee for your agency, your client's ICP, or your month.
  • It is not a case study metric and not a promise in a contract via this blog post.

Agencies should still model cost against their own close rates, ACV, and how picky the client's ICP is. A hyper-narrow enterprise ICP will not behave like a broad mid-market motion.

What you are paying for operationally

You are funding an end-to-end outbound motion for agencies:

  • Find buyers against each client's ICP
  • Qualify with signals and entry rules
  • Write from evidence in the client voice
  • Send / reply / book on connected email + LinkedIn
  • Isolate each client in their own workspace
  • Gate sends so nothing leaves without a compliance verdict and unsubscribe URL

Optional supervised drafts let your team approve before send; autopilot is for segments that earned trust. Security honesty matters here too: SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 are in progress, not certified.

Common misunderstandings (and the straight answer)

"Is there a free trial?" No free trial / no self-serve purchase that turns the product on by itself. Access opens in batches from the waitlist.

"Does onboarding include credits?" No. Onboarding and credits are separate.

"Is there a seat fee or platform fee besides credits?" Prepaid credit funding is the usage model described here — minimum $250 monthly funding converted fully to credits, with rollover on unused purchased credits. No separate platform fee in that model.

"Can I run multiple clients?" Yes — that is the point of client-isolated workspaces. Expect to fund usage for the work you actually run.

"Who do I ask with billing questions?" support@trygtm.com

How an agency should budget the first 90 days

A practical planning frame (not a quote):

  1. Pick onboarding tier with sales ($2k or $5k).
  2. Fund at least the $250 credit minimum; many teams fund higher once send volume is real.
  3. Start supervised on new workspaces so you do not burn credits on weak voice.
  4. Track usage against qualified booked conversations, not sends alone.
  5. Reallocate data vs. action split after you see the first month's shape.

If a vendor cannot explain setup vs. usage in one page, the invoice will surprise you later. This is that one page for GTM.

Self-funded clarity

GTM is built by founders Joe Brennan and Tim Chao out of Dallas, TX, and is self-funded. That shows up in packaging: we would rather explain onboarding and credits plainly than hide a seat tax behind "platform." If something about fit is unclear, email support@trygtm.com before you model a client rollout.
